Title: Magna Headlight High beam is out
Post by: MaineMagna on June 11, 2006, 08:46:24 PM
Hi All,

This is my first post to this Forum.  I've been checking out this site for a few months now and can truly say that this web site is the best Honda Magna site on the internet.  But, I'm sure I don't have to tell any of you that.

My bike is a 2002 Magna that I bought last summer and it truly runs great.  I bought it with 2000 miles on it and now have aoubt 7500 miles.  That actually insn't bad considering that I'm in Maine and our summers seem to get shorter every year.

Anyways, while we were riding today , my brother noticed that my headlight was out.  After checking it out, my high beam is out and no longer works.  My low beam still works.  I'm wondering if the headlight has a bulb in it like most cars do or if I have to replace the whole headlamp.  Is there much to it?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and I'm really enjoying this web site.
Gary

Nope you don't have to replace the whole light it is a halogen and you can get the bulb at walmart or any store that sells car headlights or motorcycle stuff
I cannot remember the number but someone else will chime in and fill the rest in for sure. Just a couple screws and the light will come out and in the back is the bulb twist and she will come out be sure not to touch the bulb...

Thanks Allen,

Went to Walmart like you suggested and they had the bulb there.  It took only a few minutes to replace.  Thank you for your help.
