Title: home made pressure bleeder
Post by: ThomasMagna on June 21, 2006, 09:48:03 AM
I think this is adaptable to motorcycles. Seems like I'd need another cap for the resevoir. Where might I find those?

Any opinions on this apparatus, would be welcomed.

That looks pretty kewl, but there is a tool made just for bleeding brakes and works great!  It is the mighty mini vac brake bleeder you can find them for under $40.  http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=2&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=PAR_DS-310207 is one but I have also heard folks finding them on harbor freight I believe cheaper.

I got my mity-vac at Auto Zone for $29.99 including adapters and reservoir.  Operation couldn't be simpler.  One advantage over a pressure bleeder is you can top off the fluid level while bleeding without disconnecting the bleeder.  You also wouldn't need any type of cap or adapter for the master cylinder since you hook up at the bleeder screw at the opposite end.
