Title: Brake Fluid Change
Post by: Indonlire on July 01, 2006, 05:58:30 PM
I need to change the brake fluid on my bike.

What I need to know now is what type of brake fluid?

Will they have what I need at the auto parts store or do I have to go to Honda to get it?

DOT 4 and you can get it anywhere.  A mity mini vac or such works great to help flush the system and not worry about getting air in the system.

One thing I have found works good for draining the fluid from the MC is a nasal asprator aka snot sucker like this.

We had a few around from the kids when I had to do my clutch.  You can pick them up at wally world for a buck or two.
