Title: Running Lights V30
Post by: Kirk Dillen on September 05, 2006, 11:25:14 PM
Just a quick question on V30 running lights.  The head light, blinkers, and break light seem to work as they should.  I don't have any running lights though (other than the head light).  I checked and replaced bulbs as needed and also checked all the fuses.  Just wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.

The only lights that are on when your key is on is the lights you have seen and the 2 front amber lights the backs are turn signal only

I didn't know for sure if the blinkers (front & back) were on, but should the tail light work?  There is a double element bulb in there which I just assumed ment it should be illuminated and then get brighter when the brake was applied.

The only lights that are on and stay on are the headlight, the front turn signal lights, the rear brake light and the license plate light and your instrument cluster.  The two rear turnsignal lights (unless modified) only work when the turn signal is on.

Thanks for the heads up.  It helped to know what I needed to be looking at.  I did find the problem (for everything except the plate light).  The fuse holder was corroded and not making good connection.  So even though the fuse was good it wasn't making the trip.  A little sand paper and a flat heat screwdriver got it going.  Still don't have a clue on the plate light though.  Anyway....Thanks for the help!!

When I first got my V30 the plate light didn't work.  I disassembled the rear cowling and the light fixture and just did some clean up around the connectors and the light socket.  Worked just fine after that.
