Title: Fork Oil Level Check?
Post by: 2fs2ns on October 27, 2006, 04:40:45 PM
Can I remove the caps and check my oil level?  Just one thing to check before I replace my springs...

Could I put heavier weight oil in with stock springs to stiffen a little bit?

You can use heavier weight oil to firm up the ride, I run 15w in mine. You can also use a longer spacer to increase the spring pre-load.

If you change oil weight just put in the correct cc's of oil and you will be ready to ride. Someone has mentioned how to check the oil level useing the distance from the top of the fork tube but I don't know it.
