Title: Vibes?
Post by: 2fs2ns on November 19, 2006, 05:19:50 PM
What might vibrations at mid-high rpms be a symptom of?  It's a very high frequency vibe, I can feel it in my boots and in the seat.  It's not very noticeable, I'm even questioning that maybe it's always been there.

I did just put new mobile MX4T oil in the bike, I'm not sure what the previous owner had in there, but I think I had started to notice the vibe before the change.

Anything typically get loose or a common cause of this?

Mine is a little buzzy at anything above 6000 rpm.  I'm usually hanging on too tight to notice though.  Like you, I feel it mostly in the pegs and seat but at certain frequencies the grips can buzz a bit too.  I think it's normal.
