My rear axle is stripped.  I have NO idea how it happened because i always torque it to the recommended torque.  any one have one??  I'll pay...and pay for FAST shipping.

You can get one at the Honda shop or is it more than you want to spend? I had to order mine.

I had a similar experience. My swingarm bolt/axle broke.  I mean it broke clean .....when I drove I could tell something was funny but not sure what. The back end was loose pulled over and a guy I was riding with came over and kicked the rear tire and it went sideways. There was enough to push back in and catch the swingarm and frame to ride over to his house and use his trailer to take it back to my place.

And I never touched the swingarm bolt. I am guessing it had to be a weak spot where it snapped. I didn't feel it snap, maybe a hairline fracture that grew which allowed the bolt to slowly move out. Luckly I was not on a hard turrn somewhere or emergency situation.

Well, there was enough good thread to get it to work enough to where I feel comfortable riding until I get new parts.

There is a big rally this weekend that I didn't want to miss.  Where all the MC's in Arizona get together ( I ride with Bikers for Christ, Phoenix chapter).

The price online at Honda Parts Direct is $32 for the axle and nut, which is less than I expected, but none of the shops around have the axle.  One shop only has the nut.

BUT... I'm up and running, so all is good.  It's been a long couple weeks.  T-boned a girl who ran a red light in our car (only car).  We almost had time to stop, but still hit her.  A $143 oil leak repair turned into our car in the shop for over 3 days and $1,200.  My wife is pregnant, so no riding on the magna for her.  I don't know if God is trying to prepare em for the stress to come with a baby, but I'm about ready to loose it!  I think that means it's time for a long ride!   :)

A long ride helps almost every time. Just heep your head in the ride and go for it. Hope your luck improves. If it isn't luck  and it's God conditiong you, as you suggest may be the case, then I suggest you look for the joys He has sent. Beautiful wife, a baby coming, not hurt in the crash and you have a motorcycle too :!:  That's my 2 cents.

As an aside, I wonder when the "2 cents worth" phrase started and what today's 2 cents would be worth. I guess I have too much time to think.
Ride like you want to Ride tomorrow.

I think heading out to the rally tomorrow will help me unwind...and have lots of fun!!!

I usually go by a couple saying.  Everything happens for a reason & What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Hang in there Nick and keep trusting, He will take us through it and not always around it.

I didn't even think about looking on E-Bay  .  That's usually the first place I look!  I ordered from Honda Parts Direct this morning.  Thanks for looking though.
