I think you mount one of these to each side of the bike and the exhaust just goes in a continuous circle and just eventually... disappears?

It is a joke.
I saw this page a year ago or so.  I like the all wheel drive modification.

So this morning to work, I did what some of you have done...started Maggie with the garage door closed until I pushed the choke back into idle...and c-r-e-e-p-e-d my way out of the subdivision....2nd gear, no more than 1-K on the tachometer...between 5-10 mph for about a half mile to the stop light. My own personal parade.

I passed that along to our local motorcycle cop this afternoon. He said he does that at 5 in the morning on his DynoGlyde with straight pipes...He said I shouldn't have any problems, but obviously made no guarantees.  I left my # in case there were any more complaints.

A very positive outcome...but I just can't be in a hurry to work. (Why start now?)

I still plan to swap out the pipes anyway.....not a real fan of loud.   I'm old.

BTW, Cap'n, A Cobra rep e-mailed me back, and, yes, the baffles in the Slashcuts are permanently welded.

Thanks for all the great input and advice, folks. Hope to return the favor....

Put an offer on the Honda V4 Forum to swap your pipes for a stock set and see if you get any bites. Then you'll just be out the cost of shipping yours and your labor.

You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

Yankee,

If you're still interested in replacing the cobras, I have stock pipes from my old magna - baffles still in place.  It was a 2000.  I'm pretty sure they'll fit any 3rd gen.
