Ok,
So I've been monitoring EBay for quite awhile to find a Valkyrie type Clarion CB setup.

This popped up but seller lists as being off of a Gold Wing but it looks *really* quite similar to the Valk setups I've seen.
Model is "JC-214"
This is the ebay sellers link: <http://www.ebay.com/itm/281527683064?item=281527683064&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:SS:SS:US:1120&vxp=mtr>

Is anyone able to confirm that this is or is not the same as the Valk Clarion CB that is so oft raved about??

thanks

Verify the following:

Clarion factory part # 286-9159-00

Honda part # 08E95-MBY-10001

It's on the unit tag somewhere.

Why is one more sought after than the other?

Terry,
That's a good question.  I don't know that one is more sought after than the other, other than most any rider I've talked to about CB's in the past have indicated hands down the Valk type is superior in features, volume, and reliability.  And IIRC the mounting bracket is known to fit the 3rd gen Magnas.

FWIW the unit for sale does indeed have different part numbers.  Thanks Dave for posting up.

I've been on retail therapy lately I might bid though similar units I've seen sell for $300 and up.

Anyone have a Valk unit they're willing to part with?  I know Buddy has one but he's not willing to part with it, at least not the last time I asked  :-(
