I like your 250 better then the 250 in the states.  Our 250 is called the Rebel and only 234cc air-cooled parallel twin-cylinder.  http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/cruiser_standard/model.asp?ModelName=Rebel&ModelYear=2007&ModelId=CMX250C7

Yep, I don't think the Magna 250 was ever imported to the 'States.

That is a very nice looking bike.  Does it have an oil filter?  If it does that is an excellent bike. Liquid cool too that is great.

What is your highway speeds over there?
Our highway top speed range from 55 to 70 and one is higher.

Well i presume it does lol... i'm not really mechanically minded!! Yep tidy bike our licence system here does not permit you to ride anything over 250cc until you get your full licence, so i decided on the magna as they are a bit chunkier and heavier than the other options which are rebel's,GN's or virago mostly here in the cruiser category... goes really well but since putting new tyre on the front it is very skittery and it just doesn't fell right i have done over 200km on said tyre so it is well scuffed in! So options are changing fork oil and experimenting wiht tyre pressure and rear shocks to see if i can get it right  :D i don't wnat to spend large amounts of money as i will only have it for a year before trading up  8)

I know what you are talking about at 15 I was riding an outlaw bike of a 250 two stroke and man it was fast. The only time the speedometer was reading correctly was at 0 and 100 mile per hour (170 Kilometers)  everything else was just close to the actual speed.  I think at that time it was a 125 was maximum for 15 year olds.  That was along time ago so I am not positive of the engine size.

I wouldn't change the tire pressure, that would only lead to trouble.  Some of us have changed the fork oil to a heavier weight oil.  I think when I replaced the seals in mine I upped it from 10 weight to 15 weight fork oil.  I think that would be the cheapest modification and won't hurt anything.  It helped with mine.

Changing the oil is easy enough, it drains out from allen bolts in the bottom of the shock tubes accessed after removing the front wheel and axel.  Removing the top caps, which have a spring pushing up on them, allows you to refil the tubes.  Be careful removing the caps, and getting them back on, they have fine threads and you don't want to crossthread them.

Thanks for the tip yes i will definately be doing that as had a friend check bike out he took it for a spin and said the forks were bottoming out so am going to have to replace oil to 15 i would say!!! is it difficult to take the springs out? is it advisable? to check them over? my brother also mentioned about a bearing in the steering? he rides a HD so not sure where this is on my bike... he would help but he lives in Australia lol :) Yes have decided not to mess with tyre pressures and will just run them at spec, as you say it just causes excess wear and heat. Any other suggestions would be welcomed
