MC Engine Guard Pegs

Hey guys, I have that MC Engine guard, and if I can't sell it, I'll try it out on my bike afterall.  The downside to the guard is being able to mount pegs on it because of the down/inward angle of the crash bar.

I was reading another review about some pegs and I noticed someone with the same bar, said he modified the pegs with a bolt to allow adjustment horizontally of the peg.

Not having really seen a peg up close, I'm not sure how you could do this, do you drill a hole in the back side and thread a bolt throug, so when you screw it in the peg hits it, allowing you to adjust the peg's horizontal position?

Got pics from that guy that's done it.  I guess you could grind down that bolt head or experiment with different sizes to get the right angle.

Kuryakyn has a peg modified for this and basically it does what you said. It has a tiny set screw in either the footpeg or the clamp. You basically back out the set screw so that it contacts first and levels out the peg. The drawback is that the weight of your feet are all resting on the head of that screw.

With my MC guards I left the pegs sloped but turned them inward about 30 degrees so that my feet were locked in when the pegs were folded out.

Don't really know if this would be possible, but maybe you could tap out the hole the bolt is in and use an allen bolt for the adjustment.
