Man what a difference!  No more dive, handles big bumps so much better, and did I say no more dive!  Braking is a whole new experience, and it's a good one!

Thanks for the info guys!  Install went smooth, took some pictures.  Didn't get any video, the camcorder was out of order (for those of you wanting some, sorry!)

If you haven't done this, I'd move it up the "to do" list in a hurry!  $60 for the springs (including shipping) from MAWOnline, and a couple quarts of fork oil,  project was just under $75.

Glad to hear the job turned out well for you. My V65 has Progressive shocks front and rear and what you said is my feelings exactly.

They really shine when you push them in a turn man they help so much no more bottoming the forks in the turn hehehehehe

One day I have got to order another set of Progressives because I still don't think I have the right ones even though going by the part numbers on the box everything matches.  Since the day I installed them they have never felt as good as other Magna's I have tried with Progressive springs and the only thing I can think of is somehow the wrong springs got put in the box.  Even other riders with Progressive springs already installed have said my bike doesn't feel the same as their's when by all rights it should.  I have quadruple checked the PVC spacers and fork oil level and everything checks out.  Just aggravating.....

Just a side note...

I followed the instructions on the MOOT tips and tricks, they were perfect.  I didn't have to buy any pvc, they included a length of 1" pvc just over 10" long, I cut it in half and used it for a spacer.  It was just about perfect.

Funny you should bring that up, Jimmy, I never felt a difference in my bike after putting on the progressives. To this day I cannot say it did anything to improve the ride. I was pretty happy with the ride before and did not see anything to improve and never did see anything.

Well just to give a point of reference...

With stock springs, I could squeeze the front brake and push down on the bars, and they would go down far!  I couldn't bottom them out, but probably 3-5" of travel downward?  And pretty easily at that.

With the new springs, I can still compress the forks in the same manner, but maybe half as far.  The bike stays much more level when applying moderate fronk brake, no more nose diving.
