BRAKE!!!

While out putzing around work today my front brakes locked solid. Good thing I was only a few yards from a friends shop. I loosened the bleeders on the calipers to get them to let go of the rotors. The brake fluid was boiling hot as it came out and that was only after a couple of miles with little brake use. Total bummer. The last thing I want is another issue since I think I am developing a tranny problem.  :(

Sounds like you may have a lot of moisture built up in the brake system. Try bleeding the brakes with fresh fluid. Do you know when the fluid was changed last?

I changed all the fluid when I rebuilt the calipers about a month ago. I'm going to change it again this weekend. This time I'm going to use some MOTUL 600.

I have seen this before, there is the tiny'est hole in the bottom of the MC, it is to help balance pressure on the back side of the plunger piston I believe.  If it gets clogged then the plunger cannot return thus the brakes continuing to clamp.

That hole has a small shield covering it, and it's right in the center of the bottom. You'll need to gently pulll the shield away, it's sort of a press fit. If it seems loose when you replace it, just bend the tabs out slightly.
