Hey guys.
New V65 Magna owner here in Amarillo Texas. I just bought the bike and I'm about to start giving it a once over, but my question is How do you take off the seat?

There's a lock towards the bottom of the bike on the left side (not the helmet holder) that I don't have a key for. Both of my keys fit in the lock, but neither will turn it. I have a feeling the seat removal has something to do with that lock. Can you help?

That's not the seat lock if I understand you correctly.  That' for the alarm system if yours is still operative.

The seat lock is also on the left hand side of the bike but it's directly below the seat and your ignition key should fit it and turn it.

Marc.

Why would you want to take the seat off? What's under there? If it's leprechauns I'm totally going to go digging under my seat...

The battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, starter solenoid, as well as other electrical parts. Removing the seat also makes it easier to remove the side covers which allows access to these items.

Haven't found any leprechauns but have seen several gremlins in there  :D

Ah... As long as you don't feed them after midnight, I guess it will be ok. Thanks.
