On the Project 96, it wont have rear pegs on it....I dont really wish to cut the peg mounts off the bike, so was thinking of a cover or such to hide it.
ANYONE (Charles....Jeff **HINT HINT**)  interested in doing some fabrication??
Was thinking a piece of square tubing (with a end welded on) just big enough to cover the mount and could use a set screw or such on the underside to hold it in place.  Something that I could paint black and would not draw attention too..

OPEN for idea's????

How about a cover with LED clearance lights? 8)

Great minds think alike; fools seldom differ!

My bike is SOLO also, and the darn peg holders for the passenger (sans foot rest) do stick out like a sore thumb. I also thought of Dremel-ing them off, then painting the scar.

BUT I must say, adding a pair of small LEDs to a cover is a GREAT IDEA!

I think you could either go with a marker light, or even one that would blink with the signal lights.

Another project for the 09 season!

I find Custom Dynamics is a great supplier of LEDs and also technical info. They may even have some ready built lights you could use.

Cheers!

Only problem with LED lights would be they are quite directional, meaning if they were aimed perpendicular to the bike direction, anyone passing by looking at the bike would have a laser beam of LED light flash in their face..
BUT I do like the idea, maybe put the LED facing towards the ground for accent???  Chris will like this idea.

LED lights are a great idea everyone. Just be careful how many you put on it Greg.  I put LED lights on my trailer and all you can think of is Chevy Chase when you plug them in!!   hehehe....Lance
