Information on used parts

I found an 85 V-45 to get parts off of for my 82.  I need to know if this guy is in the ball park on prices for used parts.  I am interested in the full speedometer and tac unit.  He wants $100 for it.  The unit is in good shape except the faces are little faded on both of the units.  The rubber around the units is still intact.  One of the exhausts is not rusty looks good he wants 55 for it. This bike is intact running up to 2 years ago and he stopped riding it.  He will not sell the whole bike he wants to part it out.  What do you think about the prices?

Jim check ebay and even Amazon for comparison.  I have found several used parts for magnas on Amazon reaonably.

Prices on used parts are set by a variety of factors; age, condition, availability or scarcity...I've found and paid prices WELL below going rate and have seen parts listed for MUCH more than they're worth.  The prices you mention are reasonable subject of course to the factor's I've mentioned.  There are a couple of sellers that I go to repeatedly when I need certain parts.  Let any one of us in the group know if we can be of any further assistance.  Good luck..!
