Well I have seen this place on the Food channel many times and want to try it out. We will leave out Saturday TTBD and ride to Snook,Texas which is right below College Station and eat at Sodolak's Original Country Inn they are famous for the Chicken Fried Bacon I can just feel my arterys hardening just thinking about it   but it is one of those things I want to try so I figure why not do it with my friends !!! Give or take this is about a 65 mile ride out there but should be fun.. Hope to see you there.

So here we go the date of the ride Aug 16th Saturday I will take suggestions on what time we leave maybe later to let it cool down or whatever let me know what you think 8)

From my home it's about 90 miles.  Depending on time of day and weather, I might come.

This is within my normal riding area, some great roads getting there.  Just let me know where and when to meet up!

Was invited to join a Harley group going there a few months ago, but I didn't think they could keep up.

Count me in.

I've had this saved as a favorite for a while now with every intention to ride there for the Chicken Fried Bacon.  If I can leave Corpus Christi tomorrow....  count me in!!

Chicken fried bacon with gravy and rolls. Lipitor pudding for dessert

I'll bet it's easy to outrun the cops on foot in Snook, TX.

I might just make this depending on the weather.

This ride is the weekend of the 16th not this weekend but the next. And the cops there have the easy life for sure except for all the heartattack calls... LOL

I guess I could've made it sound like I thought it was this weekend...... the probelm I was facing was staying in CC for the whole next week or getting to come home for a week or two and going back later.  Luckily plan "B" won and I got to come home for a week or two.  Hope I didn't get anyone thinking they were going to clog some arteries earlier than scheduled.

Dang, this sounds like I could make a ride out of this.  Greg, Bob or anyone else from DFW area that wants to ride down, let me know and I'll put something together.  Only intrepid riders need apply, it looks like a 500 plus mile day.

I'm interested as long as it isn't 150 degrees outside.

Well, I don't ride after dark, so meeting for lunch would work for me.

I really just want a taste of this heart stopping concoction, so I can say I have tried it.  Most of all, I want to see you guys again, and this looks like a perfect excuse!  8)
