Great write up Curtis. I'm too lazy to go into that much detail, but it gives those who weren't there a better picture of events.

School's getting back in, vacation is over and the temperatures are going down (hopefully). We need more of you guys to sneak off and ride with us. It's good therapy.

I dumped Baby Vee on my first bigger MOOT ride and now Ms Vee on this one. Maybe on our next adventure, I can get through it without a mishap. I still got a few more bikes to go through and don't want to set any patterns.

When I saw you shifting your rump over the seat on your Valk and pointing your knee, I knew we were in for a good turn. 49 MPH on a 20 MPH curve? It ain't knee dragging, but it's enough for me right now. We good!

You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

Yeah, it took me a few days to get around to it.  I know how I enjoy other people's trip reports and how they influence my ride planning so I like to pass it on whenever I have the time.  I don't report every trip but I get some of them done.

I'm definitely going to do this ride again so we can see what surprises are on the lower half.  Hopefully no bridges out though.  I found a better route around that one than the one we took, since they'll probably have it down for a year.  When Len and I did the Hwy 4 ride out of Jacksboro a couple of weeks ago we found the same bridge that was out when I rode it a long time ago was still out.

Those curves are great fun, and it was good riding them with you and Greg O.  I don't want any knee dragging action, it rattled my foot bad enough when I strayed close to the line on a left hander and bumped the pavement reflector with a peg!

Somehow I lost my reply... damn wifi.

I was saying that there is a place in Hutto that has a pie Happy Hour that I've been wanting to try.  That might be worthy of a day trip.

Hey, both MagnaDaddy, who hails from Hutto, and I, from not so very far from there, will be quite happy to meet you there.

In the barbeque department, there is Kruez' and Black's in Lockhart, as well as The Salt Lick in Driftwood.  For a further stretch, of course, there is always Coopers in Llano...

See http://www.kreuzmarket.com/index.shtml for details.  One of the best.

Llano is further for folks from Katy or Houston -- maybe not for you, and certainly not for Jimmy!

Kreuz is on my list of places to go eat....  I guess we'll have to start a new topic and plan that one out soon.
