When did you want to come over and do the tire?

Now that I have a Magna with and w/o a CT I will test them both. Also riding Robert's with the 165 size will give me an idea how that performs also.

Yes please!!!!!!

Look at the MC tire I removed a couple of nights ago, this is off the last bike I bought, flat, pretty much across the tread.  I never paid attention until I started physical changing the tires myself not just pulling the wheel off. My other tire was like this except forgot to take a photo before I tossed the tire.

I am not pushing anyone towards a CT just showing my findings as they become available for discussion purposes. I have 2 Magna's now, one with and one w/o a CT, hope to have a better idea about this as time goes by.

I welcome ANYONE (who can obviously ride) to ride this also not only for your benefit but myself and others here. This I will push you somewhat, I want to know what others opinions are after a ride. Come by, we'll get the keys and ride a bit.

Click for a larger version.

Side View, pretty good in the large version. You can see the edge of the flat tread.

If we can get together, Bob might be coming over Saturday along with Robert for tire service, if you are in the area you might drop by. Watch the 3 stooges blow up some tires!

Robert,

Looks like Bob will do the breakfast ride Sat. morning than we will head to Cycle Gear for weights than back to my house for tire changing duties.

Does Sat. work for you around 12:30 or so Robert?

Anyone else want to ride with us on the breakfast ride? It's a few 2-4 friends get together, determine where on the spot, informal, leisurely pace, and your welcome to come over afterwards.

So Terry.. Sort of a continuation of my PM to you .. SO, with the tire pictured.. How much tread do you think you had on the ground when making a turn.. I think over the long run, you have more tread on the ground with a car tire..
Have you talked to anyone that has put 10K+ on a car tire and have any idea what the wear pattern looks like..
On your new Car tire, have you ridden it enough to determine if you need more or less air.. This seems to be the variable on cornering stability, etc..

On this tire, not much as the tread is flat, I rode little because this tire was shot through the cords, if I turned the tire around. Photos to come.

None other than maybe Curtis and reading from various posts. Curtis and I have all discussions (most all ) at least regarding CT on this public forum UNLIKE you and I who battle over the PM's.  :-P :-P and see who can PM the next avatar, if ones here could only see what we get into on PM's.  :-P I'm surprised the forum is still functioning.

I started in the low 30's up to 48, back down to 40. Seemed soft in the 30's but need to play around a bit more for a better feel. Being articulate is where I am lacking that's why I am not a good debater.  :-P I don't know I just get on it and RIDE that mother!!! lol Now put the gosh darn tire on your bike and RIDE. <<Hoot

Are you going to fly over and help? There's a field you can jump when close enough. We will stand by and watch you catch some air.

Terry --- Your a funny guy!!!
$750 to fix my transmission on my car...
That puts a big dent in my car tire budget...
It was 43 this morning for my commute...
It is supposed to be 39 tomorrow morning

I'd like to get an opinion on a 165 tire before I buy.. Maybe after Saturday, eh??? Maybe need to space out the brake stay??

1. If your bike is working you don't need the transmission fixed, 750 saved, for now!

2. #1 takes care of this.

3. I'm okay with those temps, do you not have the proper gear....you already answered that unless you're being a big ole

I saw a cute little claymation thing on the history channel several years ago about printing. A clay Gutenberg was cranking away at a press while saying, "Imitation is NOT the greatest form of flattery, PAYMENT is!"
