This may be a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway because someone once told me there is no such thing as a stupid question,  just stupid people.   so here it goes


did they have a california model in that year, and if they did are you sure yours wasn't one at one point?

I dont know.... since I just purchased mine.   There is no way of doing a "carfax" on motorcycles are there?

Here are a few pics of the CA carbs originally off of my bike.
This first on is from straight above as if you were sitting on the bike looking down.

Those are different then my carbs.....    I do not have a vacuum hose that runs between the two carbs,  my two CENTER lines push directly into the bottom of the air box and the fuel is fed to the two OUTER ones.  apparently someone just put in a different fuel rail, probably due to the rust in the system, hence why I am looking for fuel tanks.

I realized after posting what I labeled as Vacuum is actually vent I guess.  However the emission ones are vacuum for sure.
I can't imagine ours being that different, but I guess so.
Then you won't be needing the fuel tubes?

Pack it all... there is no telling what was done in the past to this bike.....   I am sure I will find more stuff that will need our attention also....
