I'm looking for engine guards for my 95 Magna.  I've got the ones by MC Enterprises on my 99, but I think I want the smaller Honda ones.  Where would be the best place to get a pair of these?

Are you planning on keeping or selling the ones you have now?

Unfortunately, the only place I know of that seems to consistently offer them is Cruiser Customizing. Their service sucks mightily and they will keep you waiting for weeks after showing they have them in stock and their prices are not far off MSRP. The "What the hell do you want now?" attitude from their customer service twit when I called to ask when I could expect the bars just added to the lousy experience. Those rectal rings kept me waiting so long that I eventually figured it would never happen so I ordered from Planet Honda Racing four or five weeks after placing my order with Cruiser Customizing and had them in and installed before Cruiser Customizing shipped. I sold the others on eBay for a little more than what I paid for the ones from Planet Honda rather than waste money shipping them back after they finally got there.

Did I mention Cruiser Customizing sucks?

Here's another on-line place to try for the Hondaline engine guards, BA. It is Dollar Rider, and the link is
http://www.dollarrider.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=15&Category_ID=56&manufacturer_ID=8&product_ID=1583&sblid_name=

They're a few bucks cheaper than CC. I can't comment on Dollar Rider's service, so you might want to Google some forums to see what their reputation is.

Good luck.

Tried to order a pair of luggage rack brackets(supports) for the '96 from CC.  They would not let me use my VISA, but would let me do PayPal.  My acct is inactive, so I found the brackets at a dealership in NC.  So Be It!

Search for part number 08P51-MZ5-100 at your favorite Honda parts dealer, internet or local.  As far as I've heard, they are still available for sale.

FYI, DollarRider is a subsidiary of Cruiser Customizing. Check it out. I don't know if their parts are same quality, or anything about them. I was fooling around one day and googled my own site http://www.cycle-istic.com, and an ad for DollarRider popped up on the google search page, saying my parts were available there. I called them to find out what was up, and was told they are owned by Cruiser Customizing. I said it would be nice if I knew where my own parts were available, and apparently they took offense at that. Shortly after, I learned that Cruiser Customizing is no longer handling my parts either. WTF? Oh well, there isn't really enough markup in my prices for wholesale discounts anyway, so I'll just deal direct in the future.

Age is a state of mind, I'm way past 60, going on 24.

I ended up ordering them from cheapcycleparts.com.  Hopefully they get delivered while I'm in Texas.  It would be a bummer if they didn't get delivered until after I left.

Oh, that's nice to know. I don't expect any business to be flawless, but I will do without rather than deal with those clowns again. When I'm paying the bill, I see no reason to put up with any foolishness and there is no way on earth that I am putting up with arrogance. When I'm dealing with small businesses which don't have the latitude of being flexible on prices, I'm willing to let somebody have a good mark-up in exchange for good service, but that has to include a good attitude.

I'll pay the local dealership's high mark-up rather than deal with Cruiser Customizing anymore, and I did just that when I boguht my Show Chrome bullet lights: at least the boys and girls at the dealership understand that it's easier for their customers to make a purchase than it is for the dealership to make a sale.

I am glad that BA was able to find the engine guards elsewhere.
