Looking for the guy that makes the VTX Headight extention for the 3rd gen magna's. His name is  Jeff Heard. I've tried searching for him but am unable to locate. I asked Greg Cothern who he got his from and recommended Jeff. I'd like to get one for my bike as well. Anyone know how to contact him or have any info on the extention?

I think there are a few people on the other boards that could use them too, if he is willing to make more. I wrote him an email, waiting on a response. :)

I have a few pair in the shop for those of you interested. I still havent made it down to Greg's to get some pics taken of it installed, maybe this weekend if he isn't busy. If you need a pair send me your address or you are more than welcome to come by our place.

Chad to answer your question, the bracket moves the light forward about 1-1/2", it is enough that the back of the headlight bucket is not pushing on the wires or cables.

this is what I see when I try to access that link:

The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

I most definately would be interested in one. How much are they? When you say pair,do you need two to install one light? I'll PM you my address, shoot me back a price. :) Thanks!

Chad, Michael,

I have your brackets(V 2.0) packaged and ready to ship so I will get them in the mail tomorrow. I was hoping I could have version 3 made up this week but that isn't going to happen so in the mean time try these out and let me know what you think of them.

COOL! Will do - What are the differences between the two versions? anything notable?  anything we should be keeping an eye out for?

V3 has a slot at the lower front mounting point to allow some adjustment whereas V2 there is none. The adjustment is probably not needed since the VTX bucket can be adjusted itself.

Got the extentions in the mail today. looks like I am going to need a set of longer bolts & nuts, as well as two more spacers in between. what did you use for the spacers? did you get two more of the stock ones? on the bracket, the curved und goes toward the bucket, right? if I turn it the other way, the hoies almost match up, and makes the other end look a little better, since it is a finished edge. Is there a set way it should go? Thanks!

Greg will have to answer on the bolts. These brackets have only been machined and deburred, they still need to be polished.

The curved part goes up and the edge with the short flat goes to the rear, maybe this pic will help...

I went to The Home & Depot and picked up a couple stainless steel allen bolts and nylon inserted safety nuts.  I do not recall the size etc.  I took one of the stock bolts and found one similar but slightly longer.

Did not use a spacer or such, and have had NO issues whatsoever.
