OK, I am finally getting to the point in my rehab where I can ride again(In a few more weeks ).Its only been since March. I am going to replace my bars and maybe my mirrors while I am at it. Haven't looked at the manual yet but was wondering if you have to adjust the throttle after they are removed. Just looking at the bike without taking it apart was not sure. I am going to print the parts of the manual(if it is in there) before I start. Still trying to decide if I want to change the risers while I am at it.

Time to start down that rode of never ending upgrades.

When I replaced by bars there was no throttle adjustment needed.  Just unbolt the control and slide off the throttle tube.  The reverse the process after installing the new bars.

Depending on the bars you get and how much slack you have in the cables, it may be easier to take the bars off first, swap the controls, then install the new bars.

If you decide you want risers, check these out http://www.cycle-istic.com/risers.html .
They are designed specifically for the Magna, and move the bars as far as possible while NOT requiriing any cable changes. Check the rest of the Magna goodies while you're there.
