kuryakyn grip install?

Howdy all..I'm having a bit of a problem getting the throttle cables to fit on these kuryakyn grips I just got and could use some help. I can get the top throttle cable on fine but the bottom one doesn't seem to have enough slack to fit into the slot. Anyone had a problem putting these things on? Any help would be most appreciated.

Pull the left side chrome cover and disconnect the throttle cables from the carbs.  This should give you all the slack you need, but you may need to remove the seat and undo the bolt at the rear of the gas tank and pivot it up out of the way to do that.

Thanks for the tip I'll try that. I was hoping I could get enough slack just from adjusting the cables at the handlebar but I'm not to sure about that.
