O.K I am going to drain the tank and replace the gas, my problem is what to do with the old gas?

DC Smith

I would put it in my car/truck.  If the tank is almost full, it will dilute it significantly and would not cause problems.  Of course if it's thick and murky or has a lot of water, probably wouldn't do that.

David/Dan, looks like this does not apply to either of you... But may apply to the folks in the video..

I don't know Hoot, sometimes I do some pretty dumb stuff
They say you should learn from others mistakes as well as your own, so some of the people around me are probably geniuses

I use it to kill the grass in places I do not want it to grow, like creases in my drive way, or feed it to the fire ants.
Niether one is PC or EF.

Ditto, but I figure since I only do it on the rare occasion that I have the bad gas to dispose of I can be forgiven.

Charles S Otwell

If your not in a place where you can dispose of the gas safely, you can fill a five gallon bucket with oil dry, pour the old gas in the bucket the oil dry will soak up the gas and the next day you can pour the oil dry out on something like a large piece of cardboard, the gas will evaporate quickly and you can reuse the oil dry or dispose of it.

Great Idea Charles.. Wish I had thought of that!!!

Hoot's version does seem more interesting.  LOL

Plastic buckets work just fine and don't accidently create sparks 8).. but it does make a nice controled fire Assuming that it is in a metal bucket,, that is what you were referring to wasn't it :?..
