Tank vent hose, where to hook the lower end?

Hi, yes, I am quite aware of what the tank vent does and why, and that it needs to be left open to the air. Mine has a plastic T on the lower end of the hose and I am curious if there is another line that is connected to it stock? Is this just someones folly that a PO stuck this T on it, or is there another vent that connects there? I see no other lines in the vicinity.

This is a 94 Magna.

I am almost positive there is a rubber hose going down off the T.  I will look for a picture.

On the diagram I found it shows the T but does not show anything connecting to the down joint of the T.

It could always be a California thing.

The "T" is up a ways from the bottom of the vent hose which ends low near the bottom of the frame.  It is there as a vacuum break, so that if you happen to have water in the end of the hose it is not sucked up into the vent line by the volume of air in the tank suddenly cooling and contracting.  Nothing hooks to the part of the "T" sticking sideways.

   Makes sense. Wow, thanks guys! I'll just hang another hose on it 'til it's all the way to the bottom of the frame and call it good.

Some of the Valk guys have said they have sucked water even with a T installed in the line.  Personally, I think they had some kind of restriction in the T.  Just to be safe I think stopping the line just above the frame in a somewhat protected area is the best.
