I am not prepared to spend more than 200 bucks on one but is there something really wrong with the NATIONAL CYCLE DAKOTA 3.0MM WINDSHIELD
vs say Memphis shades?

My bike has a Cyclear which is now Memphis Shield. They must be durable because mine is the original and is 12 years old. Mine is the 17 inch model and is the perfect hight for me and allows the wind to go over the top of my head.

After my unscheduled get-off near Leakey, I needed to replace the Memphis Shades on the Blue Bike.  I like the blue shaded bottom, as it looks nice with the paint scheme.  So I ordered a new windshield and a new mount.  Turns out I could have replaced parts of the mount for free, as they offer a lifetime replacement warranty on the mount -- even if you bend it or break it.

Their service was quick and efficient.  I like this outfit.

The other manufacturer may be just as good.  I only have experience with Memphis Shades, but it will take a major event to get me to change -- of course, I am hopeful that I will never need another windshield...
