88 clutch resistance

Awesome, master cylinder is bone dry, and I noticed the area around my slave cylinder has a bit more corrosion then it should. I wonder, is there any part of the slave cylinder I should check first for common leaks?

This really stinks. My wife is getting her first bike, an 08 shadow 750, this Sunday and we had a ride planned. Oh well I guess. lol

That does stink! Now you have to ride on back of her new ride while you seek rebuild parts for your brakes.

I posted on the super magna forums also, and someone says these go out often and are easy to get.

I just went through a similar clutch problem. I ordered my rebuild kit from Ebay. The buyer I got if from is gm-cycles but anyone who sells rebuild kits will do. Try rebuilding the slave first that may be you problem. Word of advice don't cheap out like I did. Just go ahead and buy wone of those speed bleeder kits the kind that creates the vacuum and pulls out he fluid.

lol. I already learned my lesson there a few days ago. I bled the line and thought it was good, lost my clutch in Houston traffic otw home. Luckily I didn't have to stop until I was close to home, killed it and pulled over on a side street. As soon as I loosened my bleed valve, the brake fluid shot up and hit me right in the eye. That sucked. Got home and cleaned and waxed up my tank and side fairing. Hopefully I won't see any issues with my paint in the future.
