Horrible Rattling sound

I was on my way home from work today, and all of a sudden my engine is rattling like there's a handfull of penny's in the engine... I can't really identify where it's coming from, it is SO LOUD... I tried to start her up but it's so loud I can't bear to let her run.

It seems to be running fine... but my god what a racket.

When I fire the starter it sounds like a jack hammer on the engine... Does this mean Starter Clutch bolts?

Yup, Cam Chain Tensioner... Pulled the Right side cover off first and couldn't see a problem... Chad piped in over at V4 and said it can't be that it has to be the tensioner... Should of just waited for him... Would have saved me some time.

I can't figure out how it could have made such a horrible sound... It sounded like a jack hammer in the engine.

Part are on order... This beautifull weekend will pass me by.

I've got over 80K on my bike and no issue with the can tensioner yet.. Knock on wood..

My vacuum shot off diaphragm is still good too!!, I have the parts to fix that already in my stock..
