Iron Butt Association (IBA) is again sponsoring their 3 most popular events May 19, starting and ending in The Colony.
The Saddle Sore (1000 mi. in 24 hours), the Bun Burner (1500 mi. in 36 hours) and the Bun Burner Gold (1500 mi. in 24 hours) are the events.
The good thing about doing it this way is they do all the paperwork except registration.

I've already completed the 1000 and 1500 in this set. I might take on the 1500/24hr ride. Anyone else got the steel in their sack for this???
You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

Not that it matters but is there a fee?
I did not see one.

Map quest has Deming, New Mexico at 11 hours.
That would leave 2 hours for food and gas for a 24 hour run.
I just don't think my back could do that.
36 hours could be done

I did 2 in a week last year for MM..  THAT was an adventure..

I love riding with this group and if I could ride across the ocean I would be at MM this year too!
Cheers!
