Austin Wrench Session - Gauging Interest

Anyone interested in a wrench session in Austin sometime in the coming weeks? I'm thinking maybe last weekend of January (26-27) or first weekend of February (2-3). I have some periodic maintenance markers coming up on both of my bikes (oil change, chain maint, etc), would be happy to host near IH-35 at Braker if anyone's interested. Plenty of tools and equipment to go around including a small lift (no jig though) and likely a Magna-sized poor man's centerstand by then. Woods Honda and Cycle Gear are pretty close to me if parts or gear are needed. I'm pretty apt with these beasties if anyone needs help troubleshooting or farkling. I'll also host Triumph RAT members and other riders I know, should (could?) be a good time. May even burn some meat for the occasion...

I'll set it up depending on interest.

Jeff, I don't have any immediate specific needs in the maintenance department, but I will be happy to ride over to your place and kibitz/BS with the rest. Could also bring a few tools so we could have more than a single set of metric wrenches. Thanks for volunteering to host.

I would also be glad to host, if folks prefer. I don't have an enclosed garage, so it might be a bit chilly on the proposed dates. I do have a good complement of tools, lift, compressed air outlets, etc. -- and close proximity to barbecue at The Salt Lick Restaurant.

I would like to see us Central Texas MOOT folks get together, for whatever reason, a little more frequently. Let me know how I can help.

I would love to join a wrench session the last weekend of January (have to work the first weekend of Feb). I'm sure I can find things I just *have* to do to the Magna that weekend

I could bring a few tools and blocks to lift the Magna, as well as some food contributions. But I'd have to consider times and weather to ride down from Norman, OK.

Hop along, you are certainly welcome to come and participate.

Clearly there can't be too much wrong with your bike if you are planning to ride from Norman to Austin just to "fix" it.

Well, my SO did call Cycle-Istic and order up a centerstand for Christmas

That would be a good starting point!

A Merry Christmas, indeed! I have been lusting after a center stand for some time, and would love to watch/help you install it, and see how difficult it is to use.

So far, though, only Jeff, you and I have responded. A small party, but a party, nonetheless.

Well, not a lot of takers so far, so I'll probably just take care of my stuff this weekend and leave the get together for another day. I would like to get a bunch of Cen-Tex riders (and anyone else who wants to join) together sometime soon. Maybe a ride to a rally or show - anyone know of anything going on somewhere close? Not too close, ya' know... gotta' leave room for riding...

There's a rockers vs. mods thing coming up, though that may not be a choice cuppa' joe for this group. I'll probably attend on my Triumph.
