Sea Foam

This is my first posting.  I've noticed that Sea Foam is mentioned quite a bit for cleaning carbs.  My 94 has developed a mid-range roughness.  It idles well and accelerates well, but when I hold a steady speed lower than about 3500 rpm it does not seem smooth.  When I use Sea Foam do I use the recommended amount of 1 oz per gallon?  I'm going to try this before I see a mechanic about the carbs.

It depends can't hurt but has anything been done to the bike like are there aftermarket pipes on the bike did the last owner change the jets or do anything to the carbs if not and she is stock well could use a shim kit which is the norm for 3rd gen bikes...

Sounds like you need shims as Allen as suggested.  Cures the mid range lean spot, richens it by a half jet size just in the mid range.
I have the stuff to perform the shim install, if you willing to make one of the wrench sessions I hold or get with me to set a time.  
If you willing to turn a wrench and learn I am more than willing to help.

I've owned the bike since it was new in mid-'93.  This is something that has just come up.  It has been running very well until about two weeks ago.  No modifications whatsoever. I has just over 27k miles on it.
