Title: carb flooding on 95 magna
Post by: two-stroke-brit on May 12, 2016, 08:08:26 AM
Hi all, my buddy has this 95 magna that sat for 3 ish years .
asked me to get it running.
petcock is stuck and the carbs all flood through.
so carbs off , new float needles and gaskets.
checked the floats ,all good.
but on re install one carb keeps flooding .
i think the needle seat is damaged.

any one got a fix for this?

thanks mark

Hi two-stroke-brit,

I'm pretty sure the seats in the gen 3 carbs are pressed in.  If you've already put new needles in it and one still sticks, I've read that some1000 grit and a Q-tip or an old needle can bring the seat back to life but be careful when doing this.  Don't over do it.

Good luck,

Mark

As far as I can tell they are pressed in too. Don't see a way to remove them and I've never seen a kit for replacing them either.
