Thanks Guys.  I'll quit my whining now.  But I would be interested to talk to the guy that knows about heat deflectors.  I appreciate everyone's comments.

If it makes you feel any better check out the BMW "air heads".  ie the 1980 BMW R65.  Those WILL keep you warmed up.  Trust me.

I have very little traffic sitting, but if I did I might consider looking into one of those air-conditioning devises that sit on your shoulders.  I have seen them on TV but never in person.

I am going to get a camelback that would more then do the trick for me.

I've got highway pegs on my crash bar, I find kicking my legs out on them helps alot...and just keep moving :)

I need to read the signatures, I thought when the guys were calling you Mary, it was directed to a guy being a wimp

I saw a cloth, that when wet, stays cool. Saw it the VJMC days and it was much cooler than the ambient temperature. Not much help, because I don't know the name of it nor the price.

Thomas, that is probably some of the new phase change crystals inside the cloth.  Pretty pricey........if not, it's the cheap imitation stuff that just uses simple evaporation instead of phase change technology.  I'm not sure who sells the stuff, but if you do a search for "phase change cooling" I bet you'll find some.

No need for a reason other than the journey.

Curtis,

Just as you said, I did a search for phase change cooling and came to this site. I haven't read it yet, just saw that they have both the phase change and the evaporative cooling items.
