Well, I have 2 forks laying on the floor of my garage.  I can't seem to figure out how to get the clips off to get to the seals.

Suggestions???  I'm don't want to do any damage to them.  Is it worth getting the special pliers??

Jerry G Turner

You don't need special pliers just use a ice pick, pull it in a little bit and pry out with a screw driver. you wont hurt them they are pretty stout.

So are you saying to wedge the pick between the fork wall and the outer edge of the clip??  Sorry, very new to moto repair/work.  I just can't stand standing out in the garage and looking at the bike so I had to give it a try.

Fork seals are done!!  Thanks to Terry for the help getting the seals out and back in.  This has been the most useful forum I've ever been a part of.   :D
