Headlight replacement

I know I've read on here somewhere about replacing the headlight lamp on the third gens with a brighter silver something or other.. Anyone know which bulb I'm talking about?? I've been thru all 38 pages of the garage and can't find it. Help anyone!

Do you still have the stock reflector? I replaced the bulb in mine with a brighter PIAA P/N 70416 (3800 Kelvin) bulb. It was definitely brighter but the filament placement was all wrong for the stock reflector (too far ahead of the focal point), so I didn't see much benefit with the new bulb until I installed a VTX1880C headlight on my bike. Using the same PIAA bulb, I got significantly better light output.

Charles I believe Wal-Mart carries them (among other places) and its a Silver something or such.
