Sounds good Brad.

John be good to have ya here!  I am just a bit off of I-20, take FM 740, hang a left under the overpass and follow it to Crestview, turn right!  I am the next possible left, Stacie Ln.  Middle of the road on the right.

NOW if you dont want to take the interstate we can get you here many other ways!

I hope the event went well and nobody skinned any knuckles.  I had a wonderful day at work swatting skeeters; I did manage an excuse to take the magna into town this evening for some errands.

Was thinking about you guys today. Hope everyone got everything done that they wanted.  After Joseph's team won their tournament game, I got to work on my V45 while Justin installed the new windshield on his Super.  See you guys at the next one

Had a great turnout. I think there were 14 bikes when we left for lunch and about 20 plus people. There was a good assortment of fun projects happening, from calipers, electrical, carbs, forks, and general maintenance. Len helped Bob figure out a ghostly charging issue, hope it continues to work Bob, those are a pain. Greg found I had a broken highway bar I will have to weld.

The separated at birth brothers (Greg & Allen) seemed to continue what I believe there usual joisting of one another. Lunch at Cotton Gin was equally rewarding, next time we need a few cots afterwards.  :P

Ones who stayed to the end probably were entertained by a flight show put on by Greg & Allen.

On my jetting/shim job.

Top end is better, mid-range is stumbling though before it assumes acceleration. I have done quite a bit of tuning on my dirt 2 & 4 stroke bikes and if I remember, stumbling is a sign of being too rich. This stuff takes a lot of time and patience to figure out. Something I plan to do in the future but not a priority now. Thanks for your help with my carbs! My apologies for being a little tired yesterday but slept well last night and feel great!

Nice to meet everyone!

Greg, I emailed you the Chrome Removal Process document.

A special Thanks to Greg and the Queen for hosting the 'Wrench Session'.  Also, to Alan for his help with the shims and fork springs.  Got to meet several MOOTsters for the first time.  The Progressive springs definitely improved the ride for me.  I like a stiff suspension, and the front doesn't nosedive anymore when braking or decellerating.  Is it June yet?

Yes siree Bob that was another good one from breakfast buffet to the cotton gin feast, definite cot needed. (okay, no breakfast buffet, but it sounded good). Always good to see new people.
Still dealing with the electrical issue but should receive a new regulator today from dennis kirk (as well as a new Avon rear tire) and after further testing with Don we have definitely isolated it to the regulator. Will find out for sure when I put a new one on.
Thanks Greg for hosting and wisdom and Len for his work in reading meters also.

You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

Had a great turnout for the N. Tex April 5th wrench session, in attendance were:
Jeff Atkins on his new Valk Interstate..  Jim Tindall, Ruben Camarillo (still awaiting his 2 cylinders he has on layaway), Lowell Yoder, Terry Ramsey & Mary Ellen Kroeger, David Shireman, Len Averyt, Stephen Gillis, Chris Larue, Allen Rugg, Kale Tift, Don Jacobs, Bob Barram, Brad Badgett, and Mack Harrison.
We accomplished several upgrades including, progressive spring install, DRP jet and shim install, Regulator/Rectifier testing/replacement (turned out to be a bad replacement as well), and several other odds and ends adjustments and tweaks.
We made a quick run to The Cotton Gin for lunch..  Then back to the garage to finish up some unfinished work.
If you missed this one, you missed yet another great day of Magna's and the great people who own them!
Thanks everyone that made it, cant wait to see ya at the next one!

I always seem to miss a good one.  I think it's great that everyone can get together.  I'm gonna need to plan another WS or attend one soon.  Have a couple of fork seal replacements to do.  Might wanna replace springs at the same time...

Greg Cothern

Yep I would if already in there swap out the springs for Progressive units!
