Well it was close, I didn't get started on it until yesterday , but I got it finished before bike nite tonight and our ride tomorrow. Well, what do you think, be honest, really tell me what you think, because they are really comfortable and I'm think about building some to sell. I would appreciate any "constructive" criticism.

PS   BS also welcome :D..

Nice Charles, I really do like it.  Kinda wish I had the factory solo seat so I could let you work it over. Stuck with this comfortable mustang seat that has a never used passenger seat attached to it..  Oh, and is that another valkna tank!!

Looks like a great shape, well styled, and would be comfortable.
I don't particularly like the color on this particular bike, but would be very nice on another bike.

My opinion.. such as it is..

I can do them in any color from black to pearl white and anything from plain black vinyl to any color you can think of. Also snake, alligator and others you have never dreamed of. The reason for the seat color on my bike is that I'm going to repaint the bike.

Sorry Charles, just looked bigger than normal.. Maybe it's the different handlebars that made me think that..  After everyone looks at my tank when I pull over for gas, they say, "You need gas??  That tank is huge"   and I have to tell them to look under the tank and then.. "OH" :-D

Looks nice.  Can a stock passenger seat hook up to it?  If so I'd be interested....if not I may still be interested.

Are you just reshaping the existing foam, or are you using new foam like Temper foam, etc..???

I really like the look, Charles.  If I hadn't bought a Mustang from Slydnbye, I would be interested.  How does it compare in comfort to the Mustang?

Did you slide your front turn signals back up and reconnect the headlight stabilizer bar?

This is a fine looking bike.  What color are you going to paint it?

Here is an idea for you -- which you may have already thought of -- use some thermosetting foam, have your customer sit on it and let it set up, then cover it with a thin foam layer to build really custom seats.  Maximum comfort would fit my ample butt precisely  8)

Herman, the stock pillion will still bolt up on this perticular one and can be covered to match the seat.

Hootman are you asking me to give up my trade secrets :P, Actually I use what ever is best suited for the rider. Every seat would set a little different according to what the customer wanted. If I do this, I only plan on having a couple styles, but several options on foam density.

Looks very nice and the seat should be very comfortable if it is like the one I just got from you.  You cant please everyone so my suggestion my not appeal to others.  You know me I need back support.  I don't know if others would like the look if the back came more forward to give more support to the back..

I need to look at my old pan to see where the hole is cut to mark my pan so if I decide to put my backrest on my seat.

Your pan is here and your backrest awaits your arrival. The purpose of the new seat configuration is to get you off the top of the tank and into a lower more comfortable position. For me to use your back rest I would have to figure out how to move it back about 6 inches. That is why I'm thinking about building these so I can fit them to the riders style. If your handlebars were farther back It would make a big difference. If I sit with my back arched forward to reach the handlebars for long periods of time I would have to be cared off on a stretcher :D. I thought your wife had talked you into pullback risers and different handlebars 8-). No matter, if you need your backrest back on we can do that when you get here. This why I asked. If it's uncomfortable to anyone else there is no point in building any more. Those who have sit on my bike and tried the seat have all liked it, but my risers and handlebars allow you to sit up straight, which is more comfortable to me. With your permission, I've already built my new seat out of parts of your old one, If you are not satisfied I'll put you back on a stock seat, but it my take me a couple of days. I'll see you Sunday and do what ever it takes to make it right. See you then.

I like the seat it is just if I wanted to add my backrest to my new seat.

Because of the tank confusion I am limited on my risers options.  I am in the middle of a deal on handlebars that are min-ape-hanger handlebars to bring it back to me.  I will be needing to change out my cable to accommodate the distance.
