Can anyone identify what tire is on this bike?

It looks like a Metz but it also looks like he made the wheel wider as that is also a Radial tire I don't know if they made a 15" radial Very cool tire bet it grips great

Interesting that you would bob the tail and put a low profile tire, paint the frame silver, change the handlebars, etc but leave the exhaust totally stock...

That rim has definitely been modified.
My guess would be shaving the stock magna rim down and pressing it in a larger rim, welding and then machining it.
But I can verify that that ain't the factory rim. having spent 3 days, intimately, with a rear rim putting on my car tire.

Metzeler Sportec M1
it only comes in 17" according to there website. Defiantly modified rim.http://www.us.metzelermoto.com/web/catalog/moto/moto_catalogo_schedaDescription.page?categoria=/catalog/moto/supersport/none&vehicleType=MOTO&product_id=229690&uri=/metzeler/en_US/browser/xml/catalog/moto/SuperSport_SportecM1.xml&menu_item=/products/catalog/supersport

Yea that does seem ridiculous that he went so far as to completely disassemble the bike to paint the frame but didnt touch the exhaust at all.

Maybe he likes quiet -- so he can hear that tire against the pavement... 8)

This is out of my unerstanding....

Someone said "Yea that does seem ridiculous". In my opinion this guy or girl has modified the mag into one of the best looking ever shown on this forum. More noise is a choise, but in most cases it doesn't add power, nor does it improve handling.

Added noise is often associated with Harleys. Is that a goal? Not for me.

I'd say; nice bike, and the fat rear tire adds up to the rest of a successfull project.

And excuse me for my language and spelling. It's kind of hard for a Norwegian to fit in with all you texans. I'm reading this forum with great interest. Keep it up..... :-) Since I'm a few hours ahead of you, i'm in short going to change to disc 2 of neil youngs "Weld". Best album ever!!!!! Anyone?

It could be a law issue.  The local law may not allow any modification to the muffler systems.
I can't remember the state but a friend moved to a norther state and he had Dayton style mufflers on his street muscle car and had to take it back to stock to pass inspection.    That was back in the late 60's or 70's.

Welcome to the forum, Cannon.  Why "Cannon" are you a photographer?

Do you know Dag from Norway?  He rides a yellow and black Valkyrie and has posted some really beautiful pictures of your country on his rides on the "trollsteigen" (please excuse this Texan's bad Norwegian spelling, ha ha ha).

Thank you.

"Cannon" is my good old net-nick that refers to my Cannondale road race bicycle.
Sorry, I dont know that perticular Dag, but I know a few others....;-)
And yes, the Trollstigen is a spectacular ride.

By the way, here is a pic of my service and winter storage "trolley". This a "wheel dolly" ment for carwheels, and  modded with i few pieces of wood. It takes weight of both wheels, stores the bike level and makes it very easy to move, turn and stove on small spaces.

To get the bike on and off I use 2 pieces of wood to make a litte ramp for the front wheel. Simple, cheap and does the job...;-)
