Stange noise from right muffler!?

This past Saturday I washed the v65 very well used S100 and cleaned so well you could eat off of it any where. Dried it off with cloth, stood back and admired my work, finished 8 or 9 at night. Got up Sunday 7:30 am she would not fire up, back fired several times and it was so loud that it woke up wife and neighbors (they were pissed). So ended up pulling all spark plugs, spun motor over a few times. Reinstalled plugs fired right up, must of had water around plugs and grounding them out.
Then left for my ride with "smoked U & Texas ass Tornado" down to College Station ,TX. Had no problems what so ever, on the way back to Dallas I noticed a "whirling" noise from only from the right side. I cannot figure out what the h3ll is going on. Still have noise today. Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks

Does Honda put fiberglass packing inside these mufflers?

Are you sure it's the muffler and not a bearing?

The noise is coming from the right muffler. I'm going to put an old muffler on tonight and find out if it is the muffler.

I already changed the muffler bearings last month.

Tornado... Whirling noise... Hummm...

You know I had friends that used to shove potatos in peoples exhaust...

Sounds like Texas ass put a tornado in your muffler...

Hope you figure it out soon...

Well I found out the noise is coming from muffler, the baffle is coming apart. So I'm n the process of removing it, not fun.

Removing the baffles, huh?  This is a long string you are pulling on.  First its the baffles, then a K&N Filter, then new jets in all four carbs, then new shims, etc. etc.

When you are done, though, it will sound louder and run better, from my own experience.

Jester

Jester, your kidding right? If not we need to go snipe hunting.
Or at least let show you some ocean front property in Arizona.

Yep the backfire probably broke free some of the around 20 year old rusting baffle material....  Sure wish I was a welding wizard, I think one could make some money making new exhaust for many cruisers of this age.
