I've got head shake upon 45mph decel.

With your hands on the bars or off?

Does not matter, air pressure is perfect 32 psi no cupping. This is where I'm getting my info.

This a V65 Ok well on my 3rd gen if the tire pressure got below 32 or so it would shake upping the pressure to 38 where it is supposed to be solved my problem. If you are going to do the Ttree bearing I would find tapered roller bearings instead of the stock ball and race setup !!!

Jumbobret, I would HIGHLY suspect the tire before I would the steering head bearings.  99% of the times in the past it has been the tire.
What brand of tires are you running?

Greg I have had no more hesitation since we first fired her up after work.  I am however having a hard time keeping her under 75.  She wants to run wild with me.  I also have not had to use my choke to start.  I can certainly tell the difference.  Thanks for opening your home and guiding me through this.

Jim, did you feel that it helped out especially on the lower end?

The bike ran well before, but after it seems to have just picked up energy.  I was having some hestiation on acceleration before but now it just takes off and says "hang on"    To answer your question yes it helped.
