The info and graphs that come with the dyna 3000 module document it. also, if you run your bike as fast as it will go in any gear, it will start to slowup a bit around 9k. that is the stock ign. module pulling 5 degrees of timing. i have a .pdf from dyna (or you could go to their site) to get it. with the dyna module, your possibilities are endless. you could have dave dodge do a stage 3 on it wil bigger pistons, polished/ported head work, bigger valves/springs, ect. whatever he does, the dyna can accomadate. it also has a retard feature on it, if you were to put a blower or nitrous on it. the dyna 3000 has 3 sets of curves. the normal curve after you do pipes and jetting is setting #4. it starts the advance at 1500 rpm (instead of 2000 like stock) and the curve is sharper, giving more advance. this helps fuel economy and takeoff. it also lets you pick where you want the rpm cutoff to be. I have mine set at 11k. i've hit it a few times missing shifts, so i know it works. it is definately something worth getting. it also has beendyno shown to add 2 to 3 rwhp just by adding it. It also has a stock advance curve(1), a stock curve without the 9000 rpm cutoff(2), a 'lazy' curve which they say is a good cure for the lean mid-range flat spot(3). there are advanced curves for higher compression that start timing 3 degrees over idle and the end timing points change too. Ok enough rambling, i have a doc's appt to go to, lol. hope this helps. :)

I am seriously thinking of doing a stage 2 with a Dyna ignition unit.

If I had a stock ignition module going down I would VERY seriously think about replacing it with the DYNA unit.

Bad news about the DYna 3000 module.. I haven't confirmed this yet, but it is being discussed in the MRF Forum.. Dyna discontinued making the Dyna 3k for the magna. :(

EDIT: OOPS! I guess there is already a thread about this. Sorry. :( oh and PS, no, i don't want to sell mine, lol :) I don't think my setup would run very well without it :) I'm sure someone has them in stock still, maybe cruizercustomizing or phat performanceparts.com
Maybe there is another system that they make that would interface with our bikes somehow. they make one for the older gen magna's, called the dyna 2000 I think, and has a software program you can buy to make your own tming advanc curves.. Maybe we can talk them into making a harness that will transisition from the older style bikes to ours.. Just a thought.. :(

Connor's igniter is just about ready for the journey overseas. I have to fill out the customs paper and plan to send it out Wed. Hopefully this repairs what ails his Magna.

You are right about Terry.  I am more than grateful to him for his assistance in obtaining the igniter unit for my Magna. The gentleman has been more than helpful.

Am patiently waiting for the part to arrive so I can press that starter buttton and.....
