yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssss....but it also works on the cylinder housing as well... so be careful   If I were going to grind them off I would use a small hand grinder like a dremel tool and a shaped grinding tool.   One that looks like a bullet would work nice for control.    then you more than likely will have to paint.
