Here are a few pics of the V45 project bike I just got.

Is this STOCK???

I took it to a carwash, sprayed it down with degreaser and it still has a lot of built up gunk on it.

A little dented up on the tank, have not looked inside yet though.

The tags expired a year ago, so I guess it ran till then.  My intentions are to do a complete restore on it with some custom fab stuff along the way.  I want it to sit as low as possible and be pretty unique over all.

Exactly what I was thinking!  Hoping to track down 4 coffee cans and just break each one down and soak it for a LONG time!  LOL

Looks like you have a "little" oil leak up front too.. Maybe soak the whole motor in Seafoam
You got to love a "putty" colored seat though..

Good deal, you knew it needed some work.. But can surely become a phoenix!!!

Picked up this "frame" also.  This is a 1982, so it has a 750cc motor.  Hoping the cams match and I will have myself a slightly bigger engine for the final project!

It has the wheels I recently bought off of ebay!  LOL, figures.

Looks like you will have a nice winter project!!!

Yep.  I think my wife agreed to it so I would clean the garage.  As the photo's show, I have not started yet!  LOL.

I've attached some part numbers for those cams. If you haven't found out yet the '84 V45 is a little different than the other years, some parts will interchange while others are no where close.

cool, thanks, according to that they are they same.   :-D  I thought they would be.  From what I have read/heard they changed from 750cc to 700cc due to import taxes in 1984.

But, yes, 1984 is a strange year.  Some things from earlier years and some from later years fit, but not everything for sure.  Here are the engine markings I discovered earlier.  I had never noticed this on the side of the head before.
