I am looking to purchase the Vance and hines exhaust for my magna.   Could I please get a list of  places people have bought their V&H exhaust to compare prices.  I have seen from $450-650 on prices. What did you spend?  Thank you, Lance

I will have to look..... but I lucked out and found a set from a independent dealer who was trying to get rid of them. I think mine were around 375.00 delivered. If I can find my paperwork or if I had any paperwork I can be more precise.

I believe mine was 459.00 or something real close. I purchased mine off a distibutor from Ebay last summer.

Was wondering what everyone had on their bikes, and how loud. Mine has aftermarket( not sure what kind) and are very loud. Mine also have road rash from the previous owner. So V&H ?

lragan

I have Cobra pipes, slash cut, with baffles I believe, which apparently have much lower back pressure than standard pipes.  They are medium loud -- much louder than standard, but not really obnoxious.  With K&N filter and new jets and shims, the bike really performs well.  They came on the bike, so I don't know the cost.

The K&N is my next expense, after new bars and risers. Medium loud I can handle, but mine seem a little extreme and get really old on long rides.

Your bike has the appearance of straight pipes.

Terry, they look like Cobra Drag pipes, and unless someone removed them, (someone correct me if I'm wrong) they do come with baffles..

Definitely no baffles, may be why they are so loud

Those style of pipes are the loudest of the loud for Magna's or most any bike, you will for sure like anything other than those.  :-P

Thanks for the replies everyone.  I ordered the Vance and Hines exhaust thru Dennis Kirk on Saturday.  $479 and some change.       I remember someone said to make sure all parts are in the box.  What parts will be missing if any?   Thanks, Lance

I was missing a heat sheild on the right side of the bike.. others have been missing either one of the two mounting brackets.  i have some pics I sent the rep where I bought my exaust if you need to compare. there should be 4 mufflers in cardboard boxes, one package of nuts/bolts/misc hardware, two mounting brackets, make sure to look at the numbers on them, as they are side specific, and  two heat sheilds.  i think i got two for the same side. there is a link below which are the .PDF file for the directions to install them. I didn't get this either, I got one for a suzuki something-or-other. ALSO i had a tough time getting the mufflers on all the way. it would help to smooth out the weld on the end of the exaust on the inside or use some sort of lube to get them on easier. that's what took the most time of all was getting the mufflers on the pipes. I also have progressive 440 springs, and I had to shim the left exaust out with spacers to clear the bottom of the shock.  hope this helps. :)
