valve adjustment

can anyone tell me if i need that "special cam holder from honda" to adjust my valves on my 85 v65 mag?

I adjusted my V45 with feeler gauge following Dave Dodge instructions.  Have heard the tool is nice to have though.  Just did that and replaced cam chain tensioner last week on mine.

I have found that it makes doing the adjustment easier. I use the tool and set the valves per Dave Dodges directions.
