Ray,

It is a 1975 KZ400D. It is deffinately a project bike. Even if you don't have any parts, I sure do appreciate the most generous offer. I found a place to get a parts fische (sp?) on line for $5 that I will probably get. The person before me had no manual and just sort of ripped into it. I may need devine intervention to get it back together but hopefully, the devine is working on more important projects than mine.

Thanks so much again.

Well, who knows.  The one I have is a 1977 KZ 650 Custom.  Maybe some parts would work.  Probably not engine, but perhaps some of the other running gear.

Let me know if you want to check some parts out.

I would love to work on this one, but will probably never do it unless I have some motivation with someone willing to work with me and encourage me and keep me at it.

That bike was the strongest pulling bike I had ever ridden.  But, that was before I got the Magna.  Now I am not sure.

Ray,

Again, thanks. I know the feeling about wanting some one around to motovate. I haven't much of it myself, but enough to at least give it a shot. I'll keep your offer in mind when I get the engine back in and running with the new shifter shaft. I think the lights are broken but not even sure of that. I didn't look real hard at it.

If you'd like, we could PM encouragement.

Just spotted this on ebay and thought you might wish to jump in.  Current bid is $.99 for a tune up kit for the 1975 KZ400S

Guess it would help if I told you where.

On ebay the item number is:  4639095252

I think if you get to ebay and just do a search on that number it should take you right to it.
