Hey.

After installing my redneck handguards, I noticed something.

When you release the clutch after shifting into 3rd gear, does it go all the way back to its extended position or just where free play starts at?

When I shift say from 1st, 2nd, 3rd...it seems to go back to extended position.

However, when I shift from 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th... it seems to only go back to the end of where free play will start.

I've looked at my milk gallon to see if its preventing the clutch from returning to fully extended, and it doesn't seem to be.

Any opinions appreciated.

Thanks.

P.S. I don't want to cause premature clutch wear if its not going back to its original position...if you know what i mean.

Sounds like you might need to clean the master cylinder and slave cylinder. Also check the brass bushing in the lever to make sure it is not worn out, if it is I have one for a V45 I can mail you.
