Couple quick, very basic questions

Hello hello,

Here they are. Couldn't find reliable answers online. Maybe one person knows all and I'll be right within a post or two!

1. My front right turn signal is flashing quickly but I checked all my fuses and they're good, even replaced them with new ones (that I already had) and that didn't work - so I put the old ones back in.
- Where is the fuse for this signal? Or do I change the 12 or 9v battery that seems to be powering them, next to the main batter?

2. I thought the stock bar was 1" but it looks to be .875". Can anyone verify what it is?

3. Anyone messed with the suspension settings much? It's on the second to lowest one now, thought of going to bottom. Doesn't look like it would drop by more than.25 so probably not worth the effort.

4. Anyone put smoked lens covers on their stock signals? Nearly all the smoke ones I see online for Honda's say they don't fit the magna. I found one set that says they fit the magna 1100. Would these fit my 94" 3rd gen? No spec's provided and I don't trust the ebay reseller, I'm sure he would just say yes without really knowing.

I think that's it. No brain benders here but I'd be happy as larry if I could some info!

Cheers, DR.

Stock bars are 1", actual measurement might be a little different.

I have smoke lenses on my Magna, Clear Alternatives are the ones who made mine, I looked and my supplier does not carry the smoked ones for the 3Gen Magna, check Clear Alternatives website.

I don't know that a fuse would cause your front bulb to flash faster, not sure what is up with that, are all the others normal in flashing dept.? I would look in the manual for fuse location, a downloaded manual can be found in the Magna FAQ Section.

Adjust the rear shocks anywhere you like them, they are soft and most I think go stiffer or replace with Progressive units.

Question #1 fuses are under left side cover, fuses should be labeled under fuse box cover, there is only one 12v battery. Check bulbs, front and rear for good contact in the socket, check flasher unit and connections. A good help tool is parts micro fiche from Ron Ayers or others, helps to locate and identify parts.
#2 one inch bars work just fine.

#3 The supension adjustment doesn't really raise or lower the bike just stiffens or softens the ride.

#4 I can't help with smoked lens question :???:

PS if I'm wrong on any of these, someone will correct me, believe me ..

Now I have a question :-? doesn't smoked lens make your signals dimmer? I thought brighter was the goal .

As always, thanks lads.

The bulb used to flash quickly in me cars from time to time, I couldn't remember if it was indicating that the bulb was about to go or the fuse was about to go, it's been a while since it's happened. I'll swap the front signal bulbs to see if that was it, the fuses were good. All other 3 signals are fine.

1" - thought so, cheers for the verification!

Suspension - right, makes sense.

Smoke lens covers, yeah, checked clear alternatives, theirs don't cover the magna. Might take a chance on the ones on ebay. They say they fit the 1100 just didn't know if the 1100 lenses were different to the 3rd gen lenses.

Bulbs flash fast when one burns out.  Did you check the rear bulb?

Fast flash is caused by either another bulb being burned out, or if you put an LED bulb in one area (front or back). The fast flash is caused by less current drain on the flasher....

IF you do go with smoke lenses, make sure you swap out the bulbs with Yellow ones instead of clear.

Cool. Yeah, I've answered this question myself plenty of times but the memory just went this weekend. Perhaps working til 4am and around there other nights this week just about shot it!

Bulb colours, defo mate. I put a question into the ebay seller. My friend owns jcmotors.com so I could see if he could find them. They can source just about anything if you call.

Yep, I keep three or four muffler bearings for each of my bikes. Don't want to get caught without one.
One a related topic, can anybody give me a good lead on buying blinker fluid in bulk. Thought it might be cheaper that way.
I'd rather be outside than in.

Cruisercustominzing.com and phatperformanceparts.com used to carry the covers, not sure now, it's been awhile.  I had the smoked covers for a while, then traded someone for a clear set as I didn't like the reduced output.

Yeah, I think I'll leave them alone for now. Smoke may be too reduced. I'd even prefer red verses amber. I've got $55 cash left from my birthday and was looking to update a little something. With a tad more I might get the kuryakyn iso grips, non flame, instead. We're on a water tight budget so anytime I get a little cash I'm like a kid in a candy store.
