Rear Brake Arrows

So when I purchased my last Magna the rear brakes were shot and I knew this buying it.  Also the arrows were not lined up either.  So today new rear brakes were installed and they work excellent, like they should.  But my arrows are still not matching up at all.  Is there any trick I can do to get them to line up?  Or is it ok as long as my brakes are working?

If you check the manual you'll find that when the arrows do match up, you need new brake shoes ... they are the brake wear indicator.

I can't believe you wore out a set of brake shoes.. I replaced mine at 45,000 and the new shoes looked just like the old shoes.. I figured hey, they were 12 years old they probably should be changed anyways, but there was almost no wear..

When I purchased this bike a month ago the brake shoes were already worn down.  The previous owner must have used it excessively.

Bet a barbecue dinner at The Salt Lick the previous owner (rider, actually) rode the brake with his foot, probably not realizing he was applying a bit of pressure.

That sounds about right Lawrence ... isn't that the right side toe rest anyway

Also seen folks whom have taken the brake assembly apart and not clocked it properly etc.  HOWEVER I agree it needs attention.
